Inglourious Basterds - Vanity Fair

Quetin’s new movie Inglourious Basterds is complete, locked in the can, and ready to be premiered this week at the prestigeous festival de cannes.
Will the ever pompous, sometimes arrogant Tarantino return to the highs of Jackie Brown and for me Kill Bill 2. I hope he hasn’t talked up another
Death Proof. He was so impressed with his own writing for that movie he even sent the script to Bob Dylan.
Tarantino said, “I just thought he’d get a kick out of the dialogue. I’ve always been a big fan of him and I know him a little bit.
I just thought he would think the wordplay –
the structure of the words in it and the different voices for the dialogue – I just thought he would appreciate it.”
It wasn’t even a good idea, a 200mph car that was the main weapon, i mean c’mon, it was poorly written with everyone in it talking like Tarantino, even the girls
Ultimately it ended up just another tarantino talk-a-thon that was just shite.
All talk and no walk.

But at least the trailer for the basterds shows real potential, brad lookin like he’s on top form again, as the 1st Lt. Aldo Raine, and Eli Roth
playing S/Sgt. Donny Donowitz with some real menacing glee.

One area I do see as a real problem is Mike Myers as Gen. Ed Fenech. God this guy is annoying.
He’s playing an english general, so that’s an american playing an englishman. Surely there are enough english comedic actors out there to choose over this

C’mon Quentin, please don’t dissapoint again.
