im.back

Sorry about the lack of posting recently folks, it’s been a crazy couple of weeks.
It started off with everyone finally finishing college, with the week or two before being a time of high and low emotions running rampant.
Then it was time for most to pack up and move abodes, it’s funny to think that only a few weeks ago you only only had to look out the
window to spot a friend, now it’s a 5min walk. We’re all moving on in the world, still hard to grasp how quick the time has gone.
yes.sir!

The next big thing for me was to take the decision to give up alchohol. 3 weeks this week. Over the past while I realised that I was
enjoying myself just as much – if not more – when I went out sober. I was appreciating the music, the people and everything else in between
so much more. I also have no excuse for anything stupid I now say on nights out, as i have done on more than one occassion.
Since taking this decision I have enjoyed my nights out so much more, with the added bonus of no hangover.

And finally the most of the lads have headed to America for the summer, with more friends to head off at various stages throughout the summer months.
For so long I had talked about them heading off, but never had I actually thought about the actual saying goodbye part. I just presumed that we would say
our goodbyes in a civilised man-to-man fashion. This of course didn’t happen at all, with me welling up and having a little cry.

Again sorry for the lack of posting.

Woody Allen’s bank manager is waking up a happy man.
As woody Allen has accepted a cool $5 million dollars settlement from American Apparel for using his image without his permission. The court case was due to start today but did Woody just cave against the clothing giant?… Who knows.

In his defence Woody said he hoped the outcome “would discourage American Apparel or anyone else from ever trying such a thing again.”

American Apparel president Dov Charney told reporters it wasn’t his decision to settle. The company’s insurance company “controlled the defense” in the case.

Allen Stewart Konigsberg (guess who) is suing the largest clothing firm in America, the aptly named American Apparel for $10 million dollars.

"Woody Allen on Monday sued American Apparel Inc, claiming the U.S. clothing company used his image in advertising on billboards and the Internet without his consent.

The billboard ads, which depict Allen dressed as a rabbi, appeared in New York and California, according to the suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.

Allen, an Oscar-winning U.S. director known for his work in films such as “Annie Hall” and “Crimes and Misdemeanors,” said in the suit he was neither contacted by the company, nor compensated for the use of his image.

“Allen does not engage in the commercial endorsement of products or services in the United States,” according to the lawsuit.

He is seeking damages in excess of $10 million, according to the suit." Reuters

$10 million dollars... Cop the fuck on, Woody.
